My daughter turns 18 next month. She has been hounding me to get her license. I told her she had to wait until she was 18. Her father is planning on giving her a car for her birthday. I decided as a present for her I would make an appointment for her to take the test. I had a heck of a time just trying to find the driving test telephone number. I work 8 to 5 everyday. So I really only have my lunch hour to call for an appointment. The first two days I sat at my desk and ate my lunch and was kept on hold. I think every parent in the world is doing the same thing. Graduations and birthdays are huge in June. I finally decided to go to my boss and take the day off. I would take my daughter right down first thing in the morning telling her I am taking her out for breakfast. The office opened at eight o’clock. We were there at right at eight o’clock and there was already a line. We finally got out of there by noon. She took her written test and passed. We had to wait until 11 for her to do the driving part of the test. I took her out for lunch as a celebration. She didn’t have any idea that her dad had the new car in the driveway with a huge red ribbon.
